Best Time to Visit the Virgin Islands?
We’ve been getting this question a lot lately. When is the best time to visit the Virgin Islands?
Charter trips are booked from November through June each year. Peak season is considered December - March, while April - June has comfortable air and water temperatures. We see more people in the winter months that visit from colder climates as they’re looking to get away from the weather at home.
But, it’s really perpetual spring/summer weather! The Virgin Islands do not experience significant seasonal changes, therefore weather and temperatures are fairly consistent year round. So come when its best for you.
November highs are in the low 80’s; December through February are the “cooler” months with high 70s temps. March through June are increasingly warmer, maxing out in the mid 80s.
Water temperatures don’t change greatly from summer to winter. In the summer, the water temperature is about 83 degrees and in the winter about 79 degrees. But for those used to tropical waters, upper 70’s could be a little chilly.
